The spirit of blogging has haunted me all so suddenly so here i am, updating.
Had my Major Project final presentation just now and just as expected, we're not done with it. We're told that our work still need work to be done, which we agree, and if all goes well, next week will be the FINAL presentation of the damn game in front of our clients, the Junyuan Primary teachers.
Even though this past 3 months of MP have been treated like the holidays since we only go to school twice a week, and spent the rest of the week doing our own stuff, it is tiring mentally in a sense that, we couldn't really enjoy the holidays when the submission and presentation date is still lingering in our heads. All i can say to fellow juniors out there, if you're reading this, DO NOT, and i really mean, DO NOT FORGET ALL YOUR PAST WORKS. For our case, me and JY were really, in his words, handicapped that despite being 3D students, we had to do a project which is pretty much DM based, a flash game with coding and programming which we absolutely detest and the main reason why we chose to go to 3D option in the first place. I wish i was a little more in touch with my INMM and MMP2 skills where we did a lot of coding. So stuffs like this added further to the burden of the group. But I really really think we did a good job despite the constraints. Can't wait to get all of this over and done with for real.
This is pretty amusing but I had this mini 'debate' on Facebook of all places, about Lady Gaga a while back with Bhir. It's amusing because if this was 3 years ago, I'll be anti-Gaga like Bhir myself, but now, I think she's kinda cool. But the stubborn kid in me is still apparent as I tried to change people's opinion by empowering my opinion on them. I seriously think she's something special. Her combination of shock image and mainstream radio hit singles is something new and i appreciate it when someone is daring enough to do something no one has seen before. Come on, its like Marilyn Manson singing Kylie Minogue songs. How is that not unique? I believe the media have every right to hype her up.
I seem to appreciate a lot of things these days. I appreciate Lady Gaga, I appreciate the Korean wave, I'm not ashamed to say I watch 'girly' shows like Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. And this is coming from a guy whos in a Punk band playing Misfits and Ramones covers. I dunno, I think I've come to a stage of my life where its tiring to be an idealist already. Too old for that stuff. Heh.
Ohh, blogging to The Get Up Kids on iTunes is the shit. Should do this more often. Cheers.
