Been real busy the past week. The family business of catering and wedding services is in full swing this period with 3 weddings and 1 engagement ceremony in 10 days. Nuts, tell me about it. There's even one that will take place on Xmas day. Give me a break. So its been work, work and more work till the new term starts. Tiring as hell, but the only consolation i can get from it is the chicks man! Hahaha.
So Singapore is knocked out of the AFF Suzuki Cup by Vietnam. Managed to catch the game at home. I would definitely be at the stadium if it wasnt because of work. Bloody disappointing. The Lions had a hatful of chances but spurned it all while Vietnam had like one counterattacking chance and they took it. Congrats to Vietnam, they deserve it more to me cause they were more hungry and way more determined than Singapore. They defended their post as if their life depended on it.
In Raddy We Trust. Forget Asean honours. Been there done that. Asian Cup Qualifiers next. Let's hope we can qualify for this first, before we even think about the World Cup.
And fuck TNP.

Battles
Live at the Esplanade Concert Hall
18 March 2009
Mosaic Music Festival 2009
Price: $78, $58 (Student $60, $40)
One of the most critically-acclaimed experimental/post/math-rock band Battles is coming to Singapore. And let me tell you, it is dirt cheap at 60 bucks for a Category 1 seat. Crazy beats, crazy samples, crazy riffs, their sound is like no other. I was just waiting for a band of this calibre to come and now i've got my wish.

The past week have got to be, the best week in recent times for me.
1. Dheel
Ok, it's no longer the best kept secret now. But i managed to keep it from everyone for months, and now, our aussie boy is back in Singapore. I mean like, that alone is enough to make it a wonderful week.
2. Soccer
Played soccer twice this week on Tues and Sat with the lads. When was the last time that happened? Totally enjoyed myself.
3. Music
I jammed for the first time last Wed since Despots split and fuckkk that feels great. Replied to a post at soft.com for a band calling out for a guitarist and i just tryout for them for the sake of it. They're a punk band playing Ramones and Hellacopters covers and they are just what i need. At the end of the session, Mizar the drummer said, 'You wanna jam again if we do?' Of course i said yes. So i guess, im back doing this band thing. (:
4. Meetups, Meetups
Met up with Ayu and Nisa who are dearly missed. Small picnic at Pasir Ris Park with Dheel, Fiq, Sabrina, Mateen and Bobby. Lovely day.
Friday, went shisha with the lads and that have got to be one of the highlights of the week. Everything was shared among everyone and everyone just having a really, really good time. I don't really like to say, 'You missed out man' to anyone missing, but Ris and Fiq, such a waste. Haha. It was some sort of a early farewell dinner for Wan who will be serving his NS soon on the 9 of Dec. Really unbelievable to think he is going so soon.
So there it is. Some of the aspects that have been severely missing in my life came back one after the another. Trust me, it has been one hell of an exhausting week, but i would never had it any other way. Loving life at the moment.

(I did say I was exhausted!)
